The comforter
Jesus Christ called the Holy Spirit the Comforter (ASV) or Helper (NKJV) (John 15:26).
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness to me (John 15:26, ASV)
God comforts us so that we can comfort and help those who are afflicted and they too are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7).
And Jesus sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit when he rose from the dead and went to heaven :
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you. (John 16:7, ASV)
