Escaping condamnation
When we believe in Jesus we are saved. But if anyone hears about him and does not believe, he is judged:
For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:17-18, ASV).
When we believe and are baptised we are saved:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned (Mark 16:15-16, ASV)
God has a book of life where all those who obey the gospel of Jesus Christ are recorded. Those who are not written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire with the devil and his angels:
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10, ASV).
"And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15, ASV).
